Eighteen-year-old Shira is their Mendelman family's youngest daughter. She is going to be married off to some promising young man of background and the age. It's a fantasy come true, and Shira feels excited. On Purim, her sister, Esther, dies while giving birth to her child, Mordechay. The pain and despair that overwhelm your family postpone Shira's promised match. When a match is suggested a widow out of Belgium, everything changes. Yochay feels it's too early, although he realizes that eventually he must think about getting married. When girls' mother discovers that Yochay could marry the widow and proceed with her grandchild, she suggests a match between the widower and Shira. Shira will need to choose from also her family duty and her heart's wish. She will find out that the emptiness that she has to choose exists only within her heart.
